About Us
Rain
Founder & Cultural Strategist
Rain began documenting Atlanta’s underground music scene at 16—writing, interviewing, and archiving artists long before “underground” became a marketing term. By 18, she was contributing to multiple platforms, sharpening her voice while developing a deep understanding of how culture moves before the industry reacts.
After interning at a record label, Rain transitioned into full-time music publicity, blending industry knowledge with grassroots insight. What started as documentation evolved into strategy—learning not just how artists gain attention, but how they sustain relevance.
Today, Rain leads PRByRain, a culture-forward music publicity and brand strategy firm, alongside The FreeHouse, a digital archive documenting Atlanta’s underground artists through performance, conversation, and storytelling.
Rain doesn’t chase coverage.
She builds narratives, positioning, and leverage—so artists aren’t just seen, but remembered.
The PRByRain Philosophy
Publicity isn’t about hype.
It’s about momentum, positioning, and long-term credibility.
PRByRain exists to help underground artists move with intention—aligning narrative, visuals, and media so every release contributes to a larger career story.
We don’t ask: “Where can we place you?”
We ask: “Who are you becoming, and how should culture remember this era?”
Publicity, when done correctly, becomes:
-
Brand equity
-
Industry recognition
-
Cultural relevance
-
Leverage that compounds over time
The Phase-Driven Approach
Every PRByRain campaign follows three strategic phases.
Artists aren’t just promoted—they’re positioned.
Discovery Phase — Foundation & Positioning
-
Narrative development & release positioning
-
Promo videos, photography, and teaser content
-
Early audience awareness
-
Alignment of visuals, messaging, and press strategy
Goal: Establish clarity before visibility.
Pre-Release Phase — Momentum & Visibility
-
Press releases & campaign execution
-
Media placements & interviews
-
Visual content rollout
-
Strategic timing across platforms
Goal: Build controlled momentum around the release.
Post-Release Phase — Amplification & Longevity
-
Continued press and content amplification
-
Audience engagement strategies
-
Playlist and visibility support
-
Long-term positioning beyond release week
Goal: Extend relevance beyond the moment.
This isn’t about a spike.
It’s about sustained movement.
